The Venue . . .

A combination of world class event spaces, accommodations, and dining options on the WEC 6,000-acre property will be available for use by the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States.

The expansive WEC Complex is served by several major airlines in multiple locations: Ocala International Airport, Orlando International Airport, and Tampa International Airport.

The Weather

While fall temperatures and precipitation can present problems in various areas of the United States, the weather in Ocala in late October should range between a low of 58 and a high of 80 degrees. Due to its central location within the state, the threat of inclement weather is minimal. Driving routes from most member locations avoid some of the colder climates of more northernly cross country highway options.

Event Space

The World equestrian Center is an expansive 378 Acre complex that includes multipurpose arenas, a western arena, outdoor arenas and two-132,300 square foot expo centers.

The National Specialty will take place in Expo Center 2.

Expo Center 2 provides for ample parking immediately outside the climate-controlled facility. RRCUS will have use of 66,150 column-free square feet (one half of the total center’s square footage). The open space will be partitioned off to meet show ring, vendor space, crating, and banquet areas. Use of Expo Center 2 includes a 3,750 square foot lobby, available for small gatherings, and various meeting offices.

Lure Coursing will be held a dedicated, outdoor space close to Expo 1.

Although not a National Specialty event, Fast CATS, a RRCUS Ways & Means event, will be held in the field directly behind Expo 2.

Golf carts will be available for rental.

Accommodations

With no attrition contract provisions required, there are three forms of accommodation available to RRCUS members and Specialty attendees:
