3:00 PM Welcome, and information on what’s been happening this past year with the H&G Committee. Seminar I Dr. Michael Court 3:15 – 3:30 PM WSU Veterinarian and Professor of Pharmacology and Genomics. Delayed postoperative hemorrhage (DEPOH) mutation, information and testing available. Will be following up with results of our testing in Ocala at the 2026 National Specialty in Topeka, Kansas – permitting we have enough participants tested. Seminar II Dr. Sandi Shrager – Dog Aging Project 3:35 – 4:15 pm Research Scientist and Project Manager Collaborative Health Studies Coordinating Center Department of Biostatistics at the University of Washington Dr. Shrager will speak on the importance of research and obtaining proper surveys by our Ridgeback owners. Dr. Shrager will, also, speak on The Aging Dog Project and how we as a club can benefit from documenting our lines. Seminar III Dr. Steven Rosenthal 4:20 - :00 PM DVM is the Co-Chief Medical Officer for CVCA (Cardiac Care for Pets). He is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Medicine in Cardiology and has been a contributor to many clinical trials and veterinary publications. His interests include the management of chronic heart failure, minimal invasive treatment of cardiac disease, nutritional relationship to heart disease, clinical use of new cardiac medications, and comparative cardiology within animal species. He currently serves as President of the Specialty of the ACVIM. Dr. Rosenthal will update us on RRIVA (Rhodesian Ridgeback Idiopathic Ventricular Arrhythmia) and the importance of gathering more data, including testing, holtering, and questionnaires. He graciously agreed to stay and perform OFA exams and Echocardiograms on Wednesday, October 22nd.
